Introduction
Alsana provides a community and treatment for patients with eating disorders. In addition to redesigning their website, we also helped them get ADA compliant and optimize their conversion rates.
The
Challenge
In order to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients with eating disorders, Alsana wanted to redesign their website and make it more intuitive to use. We were also tasked with optimizing their conversion and working to get them ADA compliant — an extremely important and delicate task since they are a healthcare provider. We also created a desktop application that helps patients assess themselves and understand whether treatment may be right for them.

The
Solution
The first step toward redesigning their website was to understand how users were interacting with it. We took a deep dive into the analytics to determine what parts of the website were most utilized, and which could be improved by streamlined user flows and better visual designs.
After understanding Alsana users, we went to work creating the new design, which we then also developed for them. After launching the new look, we went to work optimizing for conversion with small tweaks based on our understanding of their users, as well as helping them get ADA compliant.

Research
Delving into the analytics helped us learn more about Alsana users and which parts of the website were most utilized, and which parts had high abandonment rates.
Design
After reviewing the analytics, we went to work on improving the look and feel of the site, streamlining user flows, and upgrading the design.
Development
We used the WPBakery plugin for WordPress to develop the site, integrating with Hubspot and other applications Alsana was using.
Next Steps
After developing the site, we made small changes to optimize for conversion based on new analytics and helped them get ADA compliant.
