Introduction

Flux wanted to combine the elements of both Square and Stripe into one fintech web design. They needed a marketing landing page design as well as a fully functioning web app.

The Challenge

Flux needed a web app development strategy for their payment ecosystem as well as a marketing landing page design that helped sell the user on the benefits of their product. We had to design the complete user experience for the app from top to bottom, including a site map that helped plan out the user’s journey as well as a new brand styleguide that set rules for using their logo and their colors.

Our work on the Flux project started with a discovery phase where we learned about the vertical while also leaning on the expertise of the stakeholder to understand what we were designing for. We then did the UX consulting for the marketing landing page, starting with wireframes and then ramping up the fidelity.

For the web app, we developed the user flows with the help of a site map to plan out how a user completes tasks within the app. We then set about exploring the visual identity of the Flux brand, which we then translated into a robust styleguide that defined their brand atmosphere.

Flux was a large project for us that all started with researching the fintech vertical to understand how we could improve upon the ideas of competitors. We then planned out the site with maps and user flow journeys to formulate a structure, which we then designed with wireframes before ramping up to higher fidelity. Regular meetings with the client gave us valuable feedback which we then used to tweak and optimize the design.
